I Was Just Trying to Breathe, and This Happened

A simple breath. A subtle question. And a shift in how I see alignment in business.
I wasn’t looking for a business breakthrough. I just needed a moment to breathe.
It was a gentle yoga class — sunlight, soft music, a mantra: “I am joyful” on the inhale, “I am kind” on the exhale. I let it fill my body.
But then at the end of the class the teacher asked:"Where in your life can you act more kind or more joyful?"
And that word — act — stopped me.
If I am kind, why would I need to act kind?
It was like someone saying, “You are water. Now go pretend to be wet.”
That single question cracked something open. Not just in me… but in how I show up in my business.
Because so often, as conscious entrepreneurs, we try to do alignment. We perform confidence. We mimic presence.
But alignment isn’t something you perform. It’s something you allow.
Maybe you already are the thing you're trying to become — and the trying is what's in the way.
So if you’ve been efforting your way toward being the “perfect” conscious entrepreneur, here’s your invitation to pause.Breathe. Let the part of you that’s already aligned… speak.
That’s the part people feel. Not the performance — the resonance.
